About Melissa
Melissa Lago, MA, MDiv is a teacher, avid researcher, keen observer, and life-long learner. Her life is her laboratory. She seeks to support, inspire, and facilitate transformation from the inside out.
She integrates yoga with tools, practices, wisdom and research from psychology, contemplative practice, spiritual care, and science. Weaving this knowledge together with inspiration from her teachers, mentors, authors of prose and poetry, nature, and life, defines her approach to teaching and living. She has taught yoga and lectured about yoga for over a decade. In addition, she has taught philosophy, religion, interdisciplinary studies, and The Mind Body Wisdom Method, a method that she developed naturally while working with a private client and built upon at Harvard.
As a teacher Melissa seeks to create an environment that is welcoming, safe, accepting, and uplifting. In 2022 she joined the Yoga Studies faculty at Naropa University as a Visiting Instructor, she now teaches in the Master of Divinity program as well. In addition, she teaches at The StarHouse in Sunshine Canyon, Kondition, and CorePower in Boulder, CO, and Drala Mountain Center in Red Feather Lakes, CO as well as privately and to groups both online and in person.
